ICC Programs and Services

Community Services: Assistance with immigration, cultural issues, translations, social services (Social Security, welfare, IRIS (Information and Referral for Immigrant Seniors), and community resource management including job training and placement, utility assistance, credit counseling classes, and support groups. All resource materials will be produced in multiple languages to ensure that the information may be read by all members of the ethnic communities targeted.

Health and Wellness Education: Education programs with community speakers for all residents related to healthcare nutrition, wellness, communications, spiritual, and end of life issues. Topics to include workplace and domestic violence, HIV/AIDS awareness and screening, prescriptions and medications, home safety for seniors and children, and senior benefits. Programs will be conducted in both English and native languages dependent upon audience.

Family Services: Collaboration with social agencies who provide services in domestic violence with spousal abuse counseling, cultural barriers, substance abuse referral and education; community resource management for homeless and abandoned pregnant women, utility assistance, classes and support groups for families of senior citizens, job training and placement, and housing assistance.

Youth Program: Create a youth development program including peer and group counseling, mentoring, after-school tutoring and programs,life skills education and training, character education training, and the creation/implementation of a technology lab designed for computer training and usage.

Senior Program: Through the design and management of support programs for our community seniors, homebound and disabled citizens will receive financial assistance with utility bills in emergency situations, educational and social activities, support groups for families of senior citizens related to healthcare, wellness, communications, spiritual, and end of life issues.
